The slashdot feeds new work again.
First of all, JabRSS is not abusing the slashdot server (JabRSS takes care to update its feeds at most every 30 minutes). But, JabRSS currently polls about 4 or 5 slashdot feeds every 30 minutes (which the slashdot server probably already considers abuse). The only thing I can do now is to slow down the update interval for slashdot (I have implemented a 180 minute penalty for slashdot feeds).
I just got a quick succession of responses from my Slashdot feed like the following: Your RSS reader is abusing the Slashdot server. You are requesting pages more often than our terms of service allow. Please see the FAQ link for more information, and if you email us, include your IPID MD5: ca118ebd3c3ffb8dd60b29617ff709d0. So, if I understand the way it works correctly... The instance of the bot running at jabrss@jabber.at/jabxpcom is actually banned from providing the news to ANYBODY.
